Chief Commissioner Hon Denis Clifford steps down

Te Kāhui Tātari Ture | Criminal Cases Review Commission (Te Kāhui) Chief Commissioner Hon Denis Clifford has made the decision to step down from his role for personal reasons, with immediate effect.

Acting Deputy Chief Commissioner Professor Tracey McIntosh MNZM acknowledged Mr Clifford’s contribution to Te Kāhui.

“Denis has brought a wealth of experience and appellate expertise to the Commission. He was instrumental in overseeing our section 12 inquiry into eyewitness identification evidence and advancing improvements to our processes.”

“On behalf of the Commission, I thank Denis for his leadership and contribution to Te Kāhui.”
